Universal Explorer 5.0 is the latest release of this shareware program for Windows. We can purchase it and/or download the trial version directly from the developer’s website and evaluate it free of charge. This software provides a comprehensive utility suite, which allows us to view, manage, edit, convert, find, copy, rename, move, encrypt/decrypt, and print our files. We can easily access them from the directory tree on the left side of the Main Window. We can browse through it and select the file we want to open. It shows not only the files but its properties as well. It is possible to view most of them directly with the built-in viewer. It can even open Excel, Word and Internet files. The program includes an EXE option for us to convert compressed files into .exe files. It includes many features, i.e., we can view our pictures as a slideshow, take screenshots, use the calculator, and many more. It automatically installs our shortcuts desktop icons into the Main Window. It runs under Windows 9x, 2000, NT, ME, XP, and Vista operating systems. |
